Jackson roundup: Five-point fourth lifts Springport baseball on Bronson
The Springport baseball team cruised to a 6-2 win at Bronson on Tuesday, scoring five runs in the fourth to take the lead after Bronson scored a run late in the third to take a 2-1 lead.
Dylan Sanford struck out 16 in a comprehensive win, allowing four hits. He also had a pair of base hits, as did Caleb Kregel and Matt Riehle. Bo Lightner led in two runs.
Michigan Center 9, Addison 3: The Cardinals scored four runs in the third to beat Addison.
Daylen Hinkle pitched 5 1/3 innings and struck out nine.
Homer sweeps Jonesville: The Trojans beat Jonesville 9-2, 9-8.
The Trojans scored two runs in the first, two in the third and two in the fourth in Game 1 before adding three insurance runs in the fifth.
Wade Sommers and Drew Bradley each had a pair of hits and Tyler Scholfield struck out six for the Comets in Game 1. Sommers and Bradley each struck out in Game 2.
Hillsdale sweeps Columbia Central: The Hornets picked up 12-0 and 9-0 wins over the Golden Eagles in LCAA play.
A 10-point third opened the first game.
Bradley Ellsworth made three points.
Shane Martinez struck out seven in Game 1. Eric Hecklinger struck out eight in Game 2.
Jackson 3, Manchester 1: The Vikings got a brace from Sydney Langley and a goal from Rylie DuBois in a win over the Flying Dutchmen.
